As we approach Easter time, we celebrate new life for what I selfishly called, "My Baby."  Gabriel Kney's beautifully crafted French classic instrument has found a new home in Indiana, at St. Meinrad's Chapel, where it will serve a monastic community with historic roots in Switzerland. It was Susan Tattershall, my close friend from days in the French Pyrenées, whom we both call "the Other Susan" (which is another story), and who had worked with Gabriel Kney in Canada, who suggested that he could build the organ of our dreams. Beautiful organs don't get built in a vacuum. It takes a community. So this Easter let's toast the community of organ builders, "the Other Susan," all who have played, all who have been inspired, and all who will yet be touched by Gabe's Opus 93, "Our Baby!"
